Brynmawr Chest of Drawers Return to category

This Brynmawr oak Chest, designed by Paul Matt, in South Wales.

This chest was made by the Brynmawr Furniture Company, part of a Quaker experiment to help the unemployed workers in South Wales.
The chest uses quarter sawn oak with the desirable stepped drawer fronts.
