Antique Drinking GlassesReturn to category

We always love a good drinking glass, what could be better? A good wine and an antique  Rummer.

The name perhaps derives from German "roemer", but its association with rum, the drink of the Navy, seems more plausible. Towards the end of the 18th century and into the 19th a hot toddy of rum, water, spices and sugar would be drunk from these glasses.

The glasses are all different, and bear the marks of the maker, with pontil marks and movement detectable in the bowls.
