A late 18th century Welsh Pine farmhouse TableReturn to category

This table is just the thing, the real thing. Made of pine, the fact that it has survived at all
is remarkable; that it`s done so in such splendid condition is extraordinary.  The central stretcher makes it very easy to sit at and yes, it is the original stretcher form with no later alterations. The top has two broad planks with three pairs of 'biscuit tenons' along its length, and unusually
the cleats at each end have through tenons.
The last couple of hundred years of use have given this pine table a wonderful, softly worn surface.

Probably Glamorganshire.
