A rare example of an 18th century PIpe KilnReturn to category

This is a good example of a piece of rare metalware.

This is a Pipe Kiln, when pottery pipes were the voque, it was customary to buy a filled pipe from your local tavern. When the pipe was empty of its baccy,  the pipes would be placed in the pipe kiln and put in the oven over night to steralise the pipe, then to be refilled .
