Andrew loves painting furniture; this can be seen in his wonderful paintings of painted pieces in his lushious still life works. Now we have moved to another stage, he now painting actual pieces.
We asked Andrew to put his talents to this mid 19th century oak dog-kennel dresser. Yes, oak, painted, shocking. However, this small piuece had been dipped in acid many moons ago, when tanking pieces of furniture was all the rage. Regrettably oak does not take well to this kind of treatment, the surface was comprehensively ruined.
Move forward to a few days ago when Andrew set about using his skills to re-create and bring back to life this gorgeous piece. Its a 3-D painting, its gorgeus!
