Snow Stuff
19th December 2010
Christmas has come early to the Havard household. Rather unexpected to be sure and not entrirely welome either, this blast of ice and snow is a mixed blessing for us all. Yes, I agree the wonder of the shapes and sounds of a snowscape is breathaking; but to try and live ones life as normal is a big issue.
So much to do, Christmas is coming (that's me Christine) , so much stuff to deliver (that's Philip and Dan our courier). Its sometimes hard to sit back and let it happen. Chill its fine (that's the children). They dont understand, but perhaps they do, there is little we can do, and in the face of nature perhaps that is what we should do, chill.
We hope to be able to open the shop in the coming week, we couldnt get out on Saturday, so we are assuming that neither could our customers. We spend the day catching up on chores. Something quite satisfying about polishing brass in front of the fire.
In the meantime keep warm and we'll see you soon.
