An early 19th c. Mahogany Wine Cupboard or CellaretteReturn to category
This may look like a commode at first glance, but it most certainly is not, and never has been. We believe this curious piece to have been a commissioned piece. The gentleman concerned may have had a great love of wines or liquers.
The sectioned part in the top is far too large for wine bottles, but decanters would fit rather better. The lower cupboarad is fitted with small wine racks.
A most curious and handsome piece.
