A George III Serving DresserReturn to category

A handsome example of a Shropshire serving dresser, which has a pleasing almost  walnut colour, the top has a broad band of mahogany crossbanding and this is repeated on the drawer fronts and the frame around them.

The use of chequer inlaid fan bursts on the drawer fronts is particularly striking as is the unusual floret carving to the centre of the  frieze.

The cabriole front legs end in unusual trefid feet.
